WCH Vietnam and Torres Clan Bring Christmas Joy to 400 Orphans in Ho Chi Minh City

In a heartwarming display of international solidarity and family values, We Care for Humanity (WCH) successfully conducted its annual Global Santa mission on December 25, 2025, at the Trung Tam Nhan Dao Que Huong orphanage.

The humanitarian mission was led by WCH Founder, HRH Maha Putri Mariam Leonor Torres Mastura, alongside WCH Country Director for Vietnam, Bai Huong Vo. The event brought Christmas cheer to nearly 400 orphaned children, transforming the center into a festive haven of music, dance, and generosity.

The venue, Trung Tam Nhan Dao Que Huong, holds special significance as it was founded by Bai Ti Huong, a revered Royal Maharlika Cabinet Member in Vietnam.

A Convergence of Humanitarian Queens and Philantourists: This year’s Global Santa Vietnam was unique as it combined the efforts of local WCH leaders—many of whom are past "Women of the Year" awardees—and the Torres Clan, who flew in from abroad. The Torres family participated under a "Philantourism" program, blending the joy of travel with the purpose of philanthropy.

The children were treated to a sumptuous feast featuring cakes, drinks, and holiday treats. The atmosphere was electric with joy as the WCH team, the Torres family, and the children engaged in fun dances and games before the distribution of gifts.

"Christmas is not just a date on a calendar; it is a spirit of giving that transcends borders," stated HRH Queen Maria. "Seeing my own family, the Torres Clan, working side-by-side with our dedicated WCH Vietnam team to feed and dance with these beautiful children is the greatest gift I could ask for."

WCH and Jain University Award Certificates to Kenyan Scholars of Education for Humanity

In a landmark celebration of academic achievement and international cooperation, We Care for Humanity (WCH), led by HRH Queen Maria Leonor Torres Mastura, joined forces with Jain University (India) to distribute certificates to the graduates of the "Education for Humanity" program.

The prestigious ceremony was held at the headquarters of the Kalonzo Musyoka Foundation in Nairobi. The event was hosted by the foundation's patron, H.E. Kalonzo Musyoka, the former Vice President of Kenya and a prominent presidential candidate, who has long been a champion for educational development in the region.

The event was graced by high-ranking officials and dignitaries. Joining H.E. Kalonzo Musyoka and HRH Queen Maria were Hon. Dr. Gideon Mulyungi, MP (Member of Parliament for Mwingi Central) and Hon. Kennedy Musyoka, MP (Member of the East African Legislative Assembly - EALA). Both leaders expressed their strong support for the continued educational collaboration between India, the Philippines, and Kenya.

The ceremony marked the successful completion of studies for numerous Kenyan scholars who benefited from the "Education for Humanity" initiative. Scholars received certificates for completing various academic disciplines, ranging from Master's degree programs to Bachelor of Arts and Sciences courses.

This global program, spearheaded by HRH Queen Maria, bridges the gap between underprivileged students and world-class education. Through a strategic partnership with Jain University, WCH provides scholarships and distance learning opportunities to deserving individuals who might otherwise lack access to higher education.

The distribution was facilitated by the visiting delegation from Jain University, led by Mr. Rahul Jaiswal, who flew to Kenya to personally present the certificates and commend the students for their resilience and academic excellence.

The seamless organization of the event was credited to Mr. Benjamin Musunza, WCH Country Director for Kenya. His tireless efforts ensured the scholars were supported throughout their academic journey and prepared for this graduation milestone.

We Care for Humanity Delivers Clean Water and Holiday Aid to Mwingi Region with MP Mulyungi

In a significant stride toward combating water scarcity and poverty in East Africa, HRH Maha Putri Mariam Leonor Torres Mastura, Founder of We Care for Humanity (WCH), successfully installed two solar-powered shallow water wells in the Mwingi region of Kenya this past December.

The initiative, executed under the Water for Humanity Program of WCH and aligned with the organization’s Ending Poverty/Food and Water Advocacy, marks a vital development for the communities of Mangani and Thonoa.

The inauguration was hosted by Honorable Gideon Mulyungi, MP of Mwingi, and supported by Hon. Kennedy Musyoka, MP of Eastern Africa, alongside Ms. Belynn Lam, CEO of Lam Global. The project was meticulously coordinated on the ground by Mr. Benjamin Musunza, the WCH Country Director for Kenya.

In a display of collaborative governance, MP Dr. Irene Kasalu generously donated a water tank to support the Mangani water well infrastructure.

"Water is the foundation of life and dignity," said HRH Queen Mariam Leonor Torres Mastura. "By installing these solar-powered wells, we are not just providing a resource; we are empowering the families of Mangani and Thonoa to build a sustainable future. Seeing the joy in the community, especially when they bestowed upon me the name 'Syukimanzi'—meaning 'the one who brings progress to the people'—affirms that our mission to end poverty is truly reaching the hearts of the locals."

Coinciding with the water infrastructure inauguration, WCH launched its renowned Global Santa Program in the region. The festivities provided meals to over 3,000 people across both locations. The massive humanitarian relief effort included the distribution of over 2 million goodies and essential items to local residents. To further assist the families, Hon. Gideon Mulyungi distributed cash grants during the event.

In a landmark move to foster sustainable development and agricultural innovation, HRH Maha Putri Mariam Leonor Torres Mastura, Founder and President of We Care for Humanity (WCH), successfully launched a massive bilateral collaboration with the farming communities of East Uganda. The historic event, held on December 12 in Mbale City, was attended by over 800 farmers eager to participate in a new era of socio-economic transformation.

A Grand Traditional Welcome and Distinguished Guests: The event was spearheaded by Woniala Michael Gidongo, Chairman of Legacy Uganda Development Partners Africa Limited (LUDEPA), WCH’s strategic partner in the region.

The delegation was led by the WCH Founder and Chairperson, HRH Maha Putri Maria Amor Leonora Torres Mastura, of the Royal House of Luzon-Tagalog within the Sovereignty of the Sultanate of Maguindanao.

The visit united civic leaders, educational institutions, community organisations, and international delegates in a dynamic programme that celebrated humanitarian action, cultural exchange, and community partnership across Wolverhampton and the wider West Midlands.

A Programme of Impact Across the Region Over the course of the week, Her Royal Highness and the WCH delegation undertook a series of high-profile engagements designed to connect global humanitarian values with local action. Key highlights included:

Compassion in Action: Acorns Children’s Hospice Following the strategic meetings, the delegation made a meaningful international donation to Acorns Children’s Hospice in Walsall. WCH donated a number of memory casting kits—specialized sets that allow families to create lasting, tangible keepsakes with their loved ones.

Speaking during the visit, Balbir Seimar BEM, Interim Regional Director of WCH, stated: “These memory casting kits are far more than a gift—they are a way for families to hold on to love, connection, and moments that matter forever. We Care for Humanity is honoured to support Acorns Children’s Hospice and the extraordinary compassion they show every day.”

Empowering Resilience: Global Santa 2025 Delivers Care and Compassion to Vulnerable Young Women in Rizal

In one of the most poignant chapters of the 2025 Global Santa Program, We Care for Humanity (WCH) extended its reach to a specialized care facility in Rizal, providing essential support and pastoral guidance to young survivors of abuse.

The mission was personally sponsored and coordinated by Ms. Cristi Santos Pangilinan, WCH Regional Director for Rizal, in close collaboration with Pastora Rizaline Irene Torres Pascual, WCH Country Director for the Philippines. Due to the sensitive nature of the institution—which provides sanctuary for girls aged 10 to 17 who have survived traumatic domestic circumstances—the location remains undisclosed and the identities of the beneficiaries have been strictly protected to ensure their safety and dignity.

A Holistic Approach to Healing The visit focused on providing both practical resources and emotional restoration. Each of the young women received:

• Personal Hygiene Kits: Essential supplies curated to promote health and self-care.

• Nutritional Support: Specially prepared lunch packs and festive chocolates.

• Spiritual Fortification: Deeply impactful pastoral care and counseling sessions led by Rev. Pastor Gabriel Pascual.

Restoring Hope and Dignity "Global Santa is not just about gifts; it is about restoring the sense of worth in every child, especially those who have faced unimaginable challenges," stated WCH Founder, HRH Queen Mariam Leonor Torres Mastura.
