GS Hellas, under the leadership of President and International Director of Miss Universe Greece Giorgos Kouvaris, proudly announces that Maha Putri Mariam Leonor Torres Mastura (Queen Maria) will serve as an official judge for Miss Universe Greece 2026, the official preliminary to Miss Universe—the largest, most renowned, and most prestigious beauty pageant in the world.
This highly anticipated pageant is scheduled for September 26, 2026, bringing together international diplomacy and high fashion on one spectacular stage. For this prestigious event, Queen Mariam will wear an exclusive couture creation crafted by celebrated fashion designer Elena Tsiklou.

Ahead of the pageant, Queen Mariam will arrive in Greece on September 17, 2026, joined by Bai Lola Smollen, We Care for Humanity (WCH) Regional Director for Las Vegas. Their arrival marks the launch of major philanthropic initiatives across the region, including the Philantourism Program and Global Santa, designed to foster international solidarity and support local communities.
The delegation's visit and humanitarian activities are coordinated in partnership with key WCH leadership in Greece, including WCH Ambassador to Greece Dr. Katerina Glykou Fotinia, WCH Country Director Jenny Michalopoulos, and WCH Greece member Olga Nikolaou.
Through this partnership, GS Hellas and We Care for Humanity unite the power of world-class pageantry and global advocacy to create a lasting humanitarian impact.
On December 30, 2025, the Greece chapter of We Care for Humanity (WCH) brought the warmth of the holiday season to the orphans of Hadjikyriakeio through a special Global Santa mission.
The humanitarian effort was mobilized in response to the health challenges faced by the orphans’ guardian, Archimandrite Chrysostomos Karambelas, who recently underwent multiple surgeries. To ensure the children were not left behind during the festive season while their guardian recovers, the WCH team stepped in to provide essential support and holiday cheer.
The mission was spearheaded by WCH Greece and Cyprus Ambassador, Dr. Katerina Glykou Fontinia, and WCH Greece Interim Country Director, Ms. Jenny Michalopolous. They were joined by a dedicated group of ten female members of WCH Greece and the organization’s social media team from the group "It is us - not me - because ego is over" (https://www.facebook.com/groups/124215304408005/?ref=share).
Together, the volunteers delivered a substantial donation of food, including meat, bread, and various holiday goodies, ensuring the children enjoyed a festive meal and felt the embrace of their community.
Archimandrite Chrysostomos Karambelas is a cherished member of the humanitarian community, having been knighted by We Care for Humanity in September 2025 during the Heptapolis - Trilogy, the Vision of Delphi event in Athens.
Reflecting on the collective effort of the volunteers, Dr. Katerina Glykou Fontinia remarked, "True humanitarianism is about acting as one family. When we saw the need at Hadjikyriakeio, there was no hesitation; we simply wanted to ensure these children felt love and security during the holidays."
Ms. Jenny Michalopolous added, "The spirit of Global Santa is about stepping in where there is a need. With Father Chrysostomos recovering, we felt a deep responsibility to ensure the orphans of Hadjikyriakeio still experienced the joy and abundance of the holidays. It was an honor to serve them."
