Laughter, Links, and Lessons in Giving: WCH Las Vegas Branch Hosts Fun-Filled Charity Golf Day

LAS VEGAS, NVThe Las Vegas sun wasn't the only thing shining at Rhodes Ranch recently. The Las Vegas Branch of We Care for Humanity (WCH) traded the boardroom for the fairway, hosting a successful and spirited Charity Golf practice organized by Regional Director Lola Smallen and Deputy Director Leah Halama.

The casual afternoon of sport and sisterhood was headlined by Maha Putri Mariam Leonor Torres Mastura (Queen Maria), who joined a lively group of dedicated women for a day focused on friendship and "fore-thropy."

"There is something truly special about coming together in such a relaxed setting," said Maha Putri Mariam Leonor Torres Mastura (Queen Maria). "While we were there to practice our swing, the real success was the laughter we shared and the spontaneous generosity of these incredible women. It proves that when we enjoy each other's company, we can create a beautiful impact for humanity."

The attendees featured a powerhouse of community figures, including WCH Woman of the Year 2025 Helen Hanson and the wonderful Doumi Cilanci. They were joined by prominent Fil-Am community leaders Luz Tudla Prill (also a 2025 Woman of the Year) and Mrs. Cora. The event even drew new member from out of state, welcoming Ms. Joana, a dynamic businesswoman who traveled from California to join the festivities.

The Golf Club at Rhodes Ranch provided the perfect backdrop for an afternoon that was less about the scorecards and more about the smiles. Between swings, the group enjoyed fantastic food and plenty of laughter, proving that doing good can—and should—be a lot of fun.

By the end of the day, the generous spirit of the attendees resulted in $360 in contributions, all of which will go directly toward supporting WCH’s humanitarian initiatives.
