His commitment to the legal fraternity extends beyond his individual practice. Mr. Bansal was twice elected as the Honorary Secretary of the Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA), serving from 1986 to 1988. His peers again recognized his leadership qualities by electing him Vice-President of the SCBA for two consecutive terms, from 1989 to 1991.
Mr. Bansal’s expertise and integrity have also led to significant appointments by governmental bodies. He served as the Standing Counsel for the State of Punjab (Civil) in the Supreme Court from March 1991 to 1996. Later, he held the distinguished position of Senior Additional Advocate General for the State of Haryana from 2008 to 2014. His counsel has been sought by numerous prominent organizations, including the State of Uttar Pradesh, the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD), and the Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC), among others.
With an impressive record of conducting over 3,000 cases in the Supreme Court, including several landmark reported cases, Mr. Bansal’s contributions to the Indian legal landscape are undeniable.
