WCH Global Santa Brings Relief and Hope to Steps of Hope Centre in Romania

DAIA, SIBIU COUNTY, ROMANIA — Under the banner of the Global Santa Program, We Care for Humanity (WCH) extended its global relief outreach to the Steps of Hope Centre in Daia, Transylvania. Led by WCH Founder and President, Maha Putri Mariam Leonor Torres Mastura (Queen Maria), the mission provided financial relief and laid the foundation for sustainable support for vulnerable youth.

Founded in 2009 and located 13 km from Sibiu, Steps of Hope is a family-based residential care facility dedicated to offering children and young adults a secure, nurturing environment. Guided by its leadership, Andrei and Kiki, the centre focuses on character development, education, and life skills to prepare youth for independent living.

During the visit on October 5, 2026, Directors Andrei and Kiki personally guided Queen Maria and the delegation on a comprehensive tour of the premises. Queen Maria praised the leadership for maintaining exceptional standards of cleanliness, structure, and moral guidance. The delegation provided a direct financial donation to enable the facility to acquire necessary supplies and complete ongoing improvements for the residence.

"This initial relief distribution marks the beginning of our commitment," stated Queen Maria during her address. "Our goal is to return with long-term, sustainable programs that continuously empower these young people."

The delegation included key WCH Romania leadership: WCH Romania Country Director Engr. Florin Brezai, Dochia Bogdana Cecilia, Cristian Morariu, Andreaa Achim (owner of Epic Centrum) and Emilian Marginean. Beyond formal proceedings, Queen Maria connected directly with the youth in a table tennis match, showcasing her sportsmanship and bringing festive joy to the residents.

To adhere strictly to Romanian legal protocols governing charitable contributions, WCH and Steps of Hope formally executed a collaboration and donation agreement on site, establishing a transparent framework for future partnership and continued humanitarian assistance.
