We Care for Humanity and the Sultanate of Maguindanao Made a Lasting Connection with the Filipino Community in Vancouver

VANCOUVER, BC
Maha Putri Mariam Leonor Torres Mastura (Queen Maria)—Founder and President of We Care for Humanity (WCH), Bai Mompong of the Sultanate of Maguindanao, and Queen of the Royal House of Luzon Tagalog (Royal Maharlika)—has successfully concluded a historic visit to British Columbia. Arriving on the morning of August 6, 2026, Queen Maria forged an enduring bond of solidarity, cultural pride, and action-driven collaboration between the Filipino-Canadian diaspora and the Sultanate of Maguindanao.

Reflecting on her journey, Queen Maria expressed profound joy and appreciation for the exceptional warmth and hospitality accorded to her from Day One through Day Three of her stay. This milestone visit was facilitated through the dedicated vision of Mr. Axel Galvez, long-time WCH Ambassador in Canada, and Mr. Chris Loredo, President of the Rotary Club of Vancouver Mountainview, whose combined efforts connected Queen Maria with prominent Filipino organizational leaders across the region.

Royal Fellowship & Strategic Healthcare Coalition

On the evening of her arrival, Queen Maria was honored at a grand fellowship and service gathering at 4403 Rupert Street, convened by President Chris Loredo. Addressing an inspiring assembly of Filipino-Canadian executives and Rotary members, she amplified the global mission of WCH and the Sultanate of Maguindanao, formally conveying royal greetings from her brother, His Majesty Sultan Zulkarnain Mastura Kudarat VI, supreme sultan of Maguindanao.

"It is a distinct honor for the Rotary Club of Vancouver Mountainview to host Queen Maria and receive royal greetings from His Majesty Sultan Zulkarnain," stated Mr. Chris Loredo. "This historic visit has ignited a powerful spirit of service within our community. We are deeply committed to partnering with We Care for Humanity, the Sultanate of Maguindanao, Caring Hearts Dentistry, and the Rotary Club of World Health to deliver impactful medical and dental care to the people of Maguindanao while celebrating our rich Philippine culture."

The core deliverable of this visit is an ambitious health outreach alliance. We Care for Humanity and the Sultanate of Maguindanao are enthusiastically preparing to execute a comprehensive Medical and Dental Mission in Maguindanao alongside their Canadian partners.

  • Strategic Roles for the Maguindanao Healthcare & Cultural Initiative:

    • Caring Hearts Dentistry & Rotary Club of World Health: Directing specialized medical and dental relief teams.

    • Rotary Club of Vancouver Mountainview: Mobilizing international service, resources, and diaspora leadership.

    • We Care for Humanity & Sultanate of Maguindanao: Managing ground operations, community outreach, and cultural heritage programming.

Cultural Diplomacy & Grassroots Diaspora Connections

Continuing her itinerary on the second day, Queen Maria visited the iconic Whistler Village, celebrating British Columbia's natural splendor while engaging in cultural diplomacy.

She concluded her trip by connecting directly with the grassroots community at the Pinoy Canada Immigrants event—a vibrant, home-like gathering featuring authentic Filipino cuisine, music, traditional dancing, games, and dynamic networking. Queen Maria engaged with newly arrived immigrants, established community leaders, and local political candidates who recognize the civic influence and unity of the Filipino diaspora.

"This journey to Vancouver has built a permanent bridge between our diaspora and our homeland," stated Queen Maria. "I am deeply moved by the overwhelming kindness showered upon me throughout all three days. On behalf of my brother, His Majesty Sultan Zulkarnain, and the Sultanate of Maguindanao, We Care for Humanity looks forward with great anticipation to collaborating with Caring Hearts Dentistry, the Rotary Club of Vancouver Mountainview, and the Rotary Club of World Health. Guided by Ambassador Axel Galvez and President Chris Loredo, we are turning shared values into life-changing healthcare and elevating Philippine culture on the world stage."
