Mr. Loloy Reyes to be Honored as Man of the Year at the WCH Royal Summit Las Vegas 2024

The Royal House of Luzon Tagalog, also known as the Royal Maharlika, and We Care for Humanity (WCH), are pleased to announce MR. LOLOY REYES, Chairman and Founder of the Filipino American Chamber of Commerce of Greater Houston, as one of the honorees for the Man of the Year award. The prestigious award ceremony will take place during the WCH Royal Summit at the Flamingo Hotel in Las Vegas on August 14, 2024.

Queen Maria Amor Leonor Torres Mastura, the founder of WCH and Chairperson of the summit, extended her congratulations, stating, "We are honored to recognize Loloy Reyes for his outstanding leadership and unwavering commitment to community service. His efforts in promoting trade, aiding disaster victims, and supporting education have made a significant impact, and we are proud to celebrate his contributions at the WCH Royal Summit."

Loloy Reyes, born on January 18, 1958, in Canada, is a distinguished business owner, community leader, volunteer, and advocate. With a background in Business Management and Economics, Loloy has built a remarkable career in real estate, helping middle and low-income families achieve their American dream of homeownership. As the Chairman and Founder of the Filipino American Chamber of Commerce of Greater Houston, he has demonstrated exceptional leadership and vision.

Loloy’s humanitarian efforts are noteworthy. In October 2022, as the Head of a Trade Mission to the Philippines, he facilitated 2 billion pesos in investments, significantly boosting local MSMEs and providing numerous job opportunities. His role as Outreach Director for People Caring for the Community Inc. in November 2013 was pivotal in raising $700,000 for super typhoon Haiyan victims in Tacloban, Leyte. Additionally, as President of the Houston Millennium Lions Club in December 2007, Loloy raised funds for scholarships benefiting underprivileged but deserving students in the Philippines.

His exemplary service has earned him numerous accolades, including the US Congressional Plaque of Appreciation for Exemplary Humanitarian Service in January 2014, awarded by US Congressman Al Green, and the Houston Volunteer Award for Community Building and Development from the City of Houston in 2016.

Loloy’s biggest dream is to promote trade and ease of doing business between third-world countries and the US, fostering economic growth and development. His motto, "If we understand that it takes a village to raise a child, then we must also understand that it takes that same village to support the adults so they can better take care of the children," underscores his commitment to community building and collective effort.

Beyond his professional and humanitarian achievements, Loloy is an avid fisherman who enjoys spending time with his family. His life and work reflect his dedication to improving the lives of others and building stronger, more resilient communities.
